The game of golf, as we know it today, originated in Scotland. The earliest document referring to golf is the Scottish Act of Parliament in 1457. King James II banned the game because he didn't want it to distract people from practicing archery. The ban wasn't successful. The Scots continued to play their favorite game anyway.

EWGA membership not only offers opportunities to play golf and elevate your game, but becoming a member of the EWGA community entitles you to so much more including joining leagues, networking, access to educational resources, access to local and national events, golf publications, and discounts on apparel, equipment, travel and more from EWGA sponsors and benefit providers.
